if you right click on the toolbar and unlock it you can then click and drag the components to different areas of the toolbar. Also there will be list of toobars with checkmarks next to them. Uncheck the ones you dont want to see. Google search bar and other toolbars as such can be removed via the add/remove programs in the control panel on windows xp or programs and features area on windows vista. also located in the control panel. hope this helps. if not post back and i will try to help some more.
Good Luck

okay...got the tool bars unlocked....figured that out before. But still can't click on things and move them like you used to be able to do on IE 6. Can't reduce the size of the address window. Also, no Google toolbar program is on my control panel so I still have that thing taking up space. Oh, forgot to tell you that I am using XP. Haven't heard anything good about Vista and besides, my computer is 9 years old and I would have to buy a new one (upgrades would be too costly). Old Pentium II with a 450 mghz processor and 500+ megs of rham... was state of the art when I bought it...had a huge (LOL) 16 gig hard drive! Have upgraded that to 100 gigs.
I still like Win3.2 better then anything. LOL You know how ex-drunks like me love change. Still have an old Packard Bell with a 75 mghz processor, Pentium I and a 2 gig hard drive that we added.
Remember zip drives? got one. LOL got a bunch of floppies for a zip drive too. will probably be worth as much as 78 rpm records soon.
Guess I'll just have to use the full screen tool and be happy with that. Burns my buns when you pay for larger monitors and Microslop bungs them up with un-needed toolbars and garbage. I bet Bill G. is getting a nice chunk of change from Google for making it the default search engine on IE 7.
